She breaks Ghizon’s sacred Do Not Leave law and goes back to Houston, only to discover that her sister is in danger of falling sway to the very people that claimed their mother’s life. Evidence is mounting that the evil plaguing East Row is the same as the one lurking in Ghizon, one that is determined to steal everything from her and those she loves. In order to save her neighborhood, Rue must wield the full magnitude of her ancestors’ power before the gods burn everything to the ground.
